Sound out the Vivace Chorus
MEMBERS of a Guildford
choir are hoping to hit the
high notes to raise money for
a local children’s charity.

The Vivace Chorus - formerly the Guildford Philharmonic Choir — will be singing
Christmas carols to welcome
theatre goers attending the
evening
performance
of
Cinderella at Yvonne Arnaud
Theatre
on
Thursday,
December 15.

Collection boxes will be

located at the theatre and
at

the

choir's

second

destination of the evening,
Debenhams, giving passersby the opportunity to donate
money for CHASE hospice
care for children.
- The choir’s repertoire will
be specially chosen to appeal
to a younger audience, and
the group of 30 or more will
start their first 50-minute
performance at 6pm.
They will move to Debenhams to start the second
performance
at
6.50pm,
entertaining shoppers busy

buying gifts at the store,

which stays open that night
until 10pm.

CHASE community fundraising manager, Tina Aston,

said: “We are really pleased
that The Vivace ‘Chorus is
able to sing for CHASE and
are grateful to the members
of the choir for giving up
their time.
“Thanks must also go to
the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre
and to Debenhams for their
generosity in allowing the
choir to
sing on their
premises.”
