is in aid of the South West Surrey Breast Screening
conducted
by
Vernon
Handley
and
Kenneth
Project.
The target
is £1,000.
Guildford
Ladies Circle has raised
£600 of this at previous functions and from donations received from other local women’s groups. The money is required
towards
the
film
and
radiographic
cost
of
a
further
two
Breast Screening Sessions per week at Buryfields Clinic.
‘The purpose of the Breast Screening Project is to explore
means by which the maximum number of Breast Cancers can
be detected in a very early stage and how this service may
be implemented in the current Health Service situation.
